Throughout our history, the Fraternal Order of Eagles has played a significant role in the major political achievements such as Social Security, Medicare, Jobs After 40 and the recognition of Mother’s Day as a national holiday. We want to continue that tradition of influence by building a stronger emphasis on the impact we can leave on the world as Eagles. States and Provinces are encouraged to submit their nominees for the Grand Aerie Hall of Fame by January 6. The following are required for all submitted nominations:
Must be a member of the Grand Aerie
Must have been a member for 20 consecutive years
Must have been active in some capacity at the Grand Aerie level
Each State/Province limited to one submission per year.
Nomination documents shall be certified under the Signature of the State/Provincial Worthy President and the signature and seal of the State/Provincial Secretary.
Please note that all Humanitarian, Sports and Entertainment nominations are exempt from the first two items listed above, however the final three requirements still apply.
Focus on Net Gain
On September 25, those whose membership expired on May 31 were dropped in MMS. Now that those members have been removed from the roster, all of our Aeries and Auxiliaries should have an accurate picture of what they need to do to achieve Net Gain for the year. Please be aware of your numbers and work hard to bring in new members to help us reach our Net Gain goal for the year. Our organization only grows stronger if we achieve this goal.
Order the New Welcome Brochure
The Brand New F.O.E. Welcome Brochure will be available through the Supply Department next week. The brochure is designed to be handed to members after they complete the initiation process and includes information about how to contact the Grand Aerie, how to take advantage of great member benefits, how to register for the Members-Only website and more. Grand Auxiliary Now Accepting Nominations for Alta Browning Smith Award and Hall of Fame Nominees
The Alta Browning Smith and Hall of Fame Awards are prestigious honors presented at the International Convention each year. A recipient is chosen each year for the Alta Browning Smith Award by the Grand Madam President.
This form or one in story form should be submitted by the State/Provincial Auxiliary after a sister has been approved on the floor by the State/Provincial Auxiliary Membership. The form should be sent to the Grand Madam President’s address listed on the form, no later than December 1st each year.
The Grand Madam President looks at both dedication and service within the Fraternal Order of Eagles as well as within her community.
The Grand Auxiliary Hall of Fame Awards are presented each year during the Ladies Auxiliary Member’s Banquet. The recipients will receive a plaque and their name will be engraved on the plaques located in the Grand Aerie and Auxiliary Headquarters on the Hall of Fame wall.
Application forms for nominees of the Hall of Fame Awards must also be received by December 1st each year. Again, please provide as much information as possible on the sister you are nominating.
